Peter Lopez, the husband of “Dukes of Hazzard” star Catherine Bach, has died.A source told Access the death may have been the result of the lawyer committing suicide earlier today at the couple’s home in Encino, Calif.
A publicist for Bach issued the following statement to Access Hollywood: “The Lopez Family has suffered a tragic personal loss. Catherine and the girls ask for your prayers.”
Lopez worked at the legal firm of Kleinberg, Lopez, Lange, Cuddy & Klein LLP.
He represented singers including Andrea Bocelli and Michael Buble.
Lopez was also a music attorney for the late Michael Jackson.
Bach played the iconic role of Daisy Duke on the long-running TV series

Then, just 10 days after the March 7 Oscars, Bullock and James separated following reports James had cheated. Bullock says she is now adopting as a single parent.
How can he be so lucky? Lil Wayne’s sentencing has been delayed yet again for the third time! As we previously reported, the rapper was supposed to be in prison last month but it was delayed because he had to undergo dental surgery. The next court date was supposed to be on March 2 but a sudden fire at the New York Criminal Court building caused the sentencing to be pushed back…again! Now, the court sentencing will take place on Monday the 8th of March. The famous rapper will be spending a year in prison but might end up spending 8 months only due to good behavior, so behave yourself Lil Wayne! Usually if a person was found guilty of gun possession they would be put on probation but that is not applicable in New York where only law-enforcement officials and those affiliated with authorities can carry weapons. So, is Lil Wayne qualified in any of those categories? Obviously he’s not. He is just a rapper protecting himself. Been lucky enough to get a reprieve, Lil Wayne made a surprise appearance at the Madison Square Garden where he went on the stage with Young Jeezy. The fans were so happy to see him because it would probably be the last time until next year, that’s if nothing happens on Monday! If another postponement happens, I’ll be convinced some force doesn’t want him to go to jail! What do you guys think of this story?
Russell and his fiance, Katy Perry, are enjoying some off time down in Mexico and sunbathed in matching red ensembles. Katy was practically popping out of her top, which Russell could barely keep his swimsuit on his butt. We have yet to figure out what made these two click, but perhaps it’s that neither one can stay in their clothes?

Even before we animated the eyebrows, there was just something off about this photo of Zach Braff and Emmy Rossum chilling at the Darker Side Of Climate Change Debate event in NYC. Not that we could blame Braff for making a move on the Phantom Of The Opera star if the opportunity arose—anyone who’d date Counting Crow Adam Duritz in the last year is obviously fair game for a sensitive Scrub like him. Among the stars with better things to do than “ooh” at completely innocent celebrity candids were Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rev Run, Kevin Bacon and Sarah Silverman, who moderated a debate on the very serious matter (climate change, not whether Zach Braff was looking for action). Russell Brand and Katy Perry looked like their typical happy and loving selves when they took off from LAX this morning, but at the Kids' Choice Awards Saturday night, Katy was fawning all over a different man!

Legendary Memphis musician Alex Chilton died on Thursday at age 59. Chilton's work in Big Star cemented his reputation as a father of alternative rock, but he first came to the spotlight as the teenage lead singer of the Box Tops, whose hit "The Letter" was powered by Chilton's ragged, haunting vocals.

No put intended (ok, maybe a little) but we’re very hot and cold on Katy Perry. At first GG thought her music was kind of shrill and bad, but then she won us over when she was a guest judge on American Idol .
When she and Russell Brand started dating, we braced ourselves for obnoxiousness but soon found the pairing kind of sweet. Still, amidst the genuine affection these two seem to share, neither one of them is known for their subtlety, so we weren’t surprised to hear Katy go into too much detail about their sex life.
Perry may as well be training for the sexual Olympics, Russell keeps her just that busy working on her technique. “Can you imagine the kind of responsibility I have with his reputation?” she said, referring to Brand’s previously indiscriminate Benetton heart and c*ck, (John Mayer, take note).
“I’m bedridden most of the week,” Perry explained, not expressing much torment over being held captive by a man she later called “Jim Morrison meets Charles Manson meets Jesus meets a little bit of Elvis Presley.”
GG not sure if she’s referring to the act of them doing it constantly, or the after effects that require bedrest to recover but either way, our mind’s eye is furiously trying to erase the visuals we’re imagining from both scenarios.

Jennifer Lopez confirmed yesterday that she had split (re: was dumped) from music label Sony after ten years collaborating together.
The Daily Mail quoted her as saying, “I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we’ve had great success. I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label. I’m also happy to say that we’ve found a new home for my album Love and that it is slated for release in the summer of 2010.”
While neither Sony nor Lopez gave the reason for the split, rumor has it that Sony dropped her on her big fat ass after her last two singles tanked:
Her two recent singles, Louboutins and Fresh Out Of The Oven, were flops on the U.S. Billboard singles chart and Sony were not willing to take a gamble on her Love album, [fearing it] would be a flop.

The High School Musical heartthrob made a bigger wave than he expected when earlier this week, he was greeted by hundreds of adoring fans during a surf session down under.
Zac Efron got his surf on at Bondi Beach in Australia to help support the One Sight Foundation, which works to provide eye care and improved vision through research and education all around the world. Zac joined the surfing class as part of Oakley’s “Learn to Ride” promotion to help raise money for the charity, taking tips from pro Aussie surfers Layne Beachley and Tom Whitaker.
